AmaZulu FC defender Simphiwe Mtsweni has been a figure of reliability for he team this season.
When the full-back joined Usuthu as a free-agent prior to the current season, he was looking to revive his career.
Mtsweni had difficult spells with Kaizer Chiefs and Free State Stars where he struggled for game time.
The 23-year-old has been given a platform to discover his full potential at AmaZulu and he has grabbed the opportunity with both hands.
Cavin Johnson, the Usuthu head coach, has picked Mtshweni as the team’s first-choice left-back.
The KwaZulu-Natal giants have played 11 league matches – recording three wins, five draws and three defeats.
Blessed with an educated left-foot, Mtsweni is the only AmaZulu player, who has featured in all 11 league games.
The Embalenhle-born player has started 10 matches and made one substitute appearance which was against Mamelodi Sundowns last month.
He will look to continue improving and developing into one of the top left-backs in the Absa Premiership.
AmaZulu are scheduled to host Bloemfontein Celtic in a league match at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Wednesday, 6 December 2017.
Kick-off is at 19h30.Share
