AmaZulu coach Craig Rosslee is pleased with the acquisition of Nhlanhla Shabalala and Ruzaigh Gamildien and says he is hoping to add a few more big names before the end of the transfer window.
Shabalala comes in to strengthen the midfield following the departure of Mohammed-Awal Issah and Letladi Madubanya, while Gamildien is expected to add more bite to the attack.
“Firstly, we’ve released two players in Awal and Madubanya so we had to replace them and Shabba comes in with a lot of experience and he’s a defensive and holding midfielder,” Rosslee explained.
“Gamildien is a fantastic player and we thought he’ll add quite a bit of steel in our squad in terms of creativity and also in terms of goals.
“He’s also a freekick specialist and he’s got a great feeling for the game, not only in terms of ingenuity on the field but also in terms of contributing in the goalscoring department.
“He likes to get forward and Shabalala on the other hand will provide great competition for Madondo in the midfield.”
Having gone through the first half of the season with a small squad, Rosslee has not ruled out signing more players over the next few weeks.
“We’ll continue to look for another striker and we’re looking to bring in some other quality players,” he concluded.Share
