Q & A: Six Questions with Somila Ntsundwana

Born and bred in Port Elizabeth, the Usuthu forward gives credit to his older brothers who ultimately motivated him to become the player that he is today.

“I grew up in Motherwell. My older brothers were really influential in my decision to become a professional footballer because of their love for football,” he said.

The 21 year- old who is affectionately known by his teammates as “Balotelli” is enjoying his second season in the Absa Premiership having joined Usuthu from the Bidvest Wits Reserves.

He is a promising forward on the up and up, currently imbibing a wealth of knowledge from veteran teammates in the striking department such as Mabhuti Khenyeza and Siyabonga Nomvethe.

AmaZuluFC.net offers a little insight into what makes Ballotelli tick in this off-the field interview.

AmaZulu FC: What’s the greatest fear you’ve had to overcome to get where you are?

Somila Ntsudwana: Getting out of my comfort zone and leaving home was hard, but it was a decision I had to make.

AFC: What’s the one thing you would like to achieve before you die?

SN: Win the Absa Premiership with AmaZulu FC.

AFC: What kind of person were you like in high school?

SN: I really loved soccer, I wasn’t a fan of books (Laughing) but I definitely was a fan of football.

AFC: What’s the one unusual talent you have?

SN: I am really good in athletics, more especially track where sprinting is required.

AFC: What’s the funniest incident that has occurred to you in the field?

SN: Receiving a red card for swearing at my own teammate.

AFC: Would you rather go 30 days without your phone or your entire life without having to eat dessert?

SN: Definitely 30 days without my phone.
