AmaZulu have received a massive boost ahead of their Absa Premiership encounter against Kaizer Chiefs on Wednesday night, with Ovidy Karuru extending his stay at the club.
The Zimbabwean international striker has renewed his deal with Usuthu until 2019 after joining the Durban-based outfit during the 2015/16 campaign.
Usuthu’s General Manager, Lunga Sokhela expressed delight in the development, revealing the Warriors player has an option to extend until 2020.
“We are pleased to announce that we have extended with Karuru until the end of 2019 with an option until 2020,” said Sokhela.
“He’s a vital member to have in the team, in our plans this season and going forward.”
Karuru was crucial for the club in the National First Division last season and will be key when they host his former club on Wednesday night.
The highly anticipated encounter against Chiefs will be staged at King Zwelithini Stadium, kick-off at 19:30.Share
