AmaZulu FC defender Sedat Ouro-Akoriko watched on as Togo secured a victory over Mauritius on Sunday.

The towering central defender was included in the Togo squad ahead of the international friendly match against the Dodos of Mauritius.

However, Ouro-Akoriko, who had sustained an injury during AmaZulu’s 2-1 win over Mamelodi Sundowns in an Absa Premiership encounter, did not play against the Dodos.

Togo’s Sparrow Hawks defeated Mauritius 6-0 at the Stade de Kegue in Lome as they prepared for their next 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier which is against Benin in March 2018.

The Togolese Football Federation confirmed that the Usuthu player did train with the Sparrow Hawks prior to the clash with Mauritius.

AmaZulu head coach Cavin Johnson and his technical team will be hoping that the 29-year-old returns to Durban injury free.

Usuthu are scheduled to host Kaizer Chiefs in a league match at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Wednesday, 22 November 2017.
