This week on our off the field Q & A 25 year old Tamsanqa Teyise tells us of the unreal dream match he thought would never ever materialize of playing against Manchester United and much more…

AmaZulufc.net: Who is the person behind the tough young central defender known as Tamsanqa Teyise?
TT:
I am a humble, God fearing man. I grew up in a small township called Alexander in the Eastern Cape Province. I think I was a good kid with a lot of respect, love and care for people. I started playing SAP Callies but I was there for few months before I joined AmaZulu.

AmaZulufc.net: How was it like growing in the Eastern Cape?
TT:
My life hasn’t changed much and I would like to keep it that way and much we are playing soccer in the professional. I don’t see any reason to change so. I am just living by my parents’ principles.

AmaZulufc.net: Most people don’t know that your amateur days were spent at a club called Manchester United. What did it mean to you to play against these European giants?
TT:
Well playing against Manchester was fun, such opportunities are very slim, I never thought I would play against such team; it is still like a dream.

AmaZulufc.net: How do you feel about the score?
TT:
Well the score was meant to be 1-0, we didn’t feel like it was a loss for us, we had enough chances to score but we didn’t. We played very well and our defence was very solid. After such as an experience wouldn’t refuse the chance if it came, though their standard of football is not the same as ours but I will surely manage.

AmaZulufc.net: Do you think the team will maintain the same performance throughout the season?
TT:
Oh yes, in fact we have trained very hard preparing for the season not only for Manchester United game but also we plan on winning trophies.
