Ntsundwana impressed with Usuthu Junior Tournament in East London

The Usuthu Junior Tournament was successfully concluded yesterday in East London in partnership with SAFA Buffalo City Region’s Gompo LFA with Usuthu striker Somila Ntsundwana among the spectators.

Balo was not the only Usuthu cheering all the youngsters as teams affiliated with the LFAs Under 13s, 15s And 17s competed at the Malinda Stadium.

Former AmaZulu goalkeeper and current Tornado FC head coach, Tshepo Motsoeneng was alongside former defender, Phumlani Manga as dignitaries hosted by Gompo LFA Chairperson Vukile Mlanjana and his executive.

The U15 division was won by Utility FC by 3-1 on penalties against Braelyn Kings FC after a 1-1 scoreline in regular play.

In the U13s Mighty Kids overcame Lion Strikers FC 2-0.

Young Destroyers won 1-0 against Mighty Kids in the U17 division.

Usuthu’s Port Elizabeth born striker Somila Ntsundwana was impressed in the objective behind the joint spectacle which was unveiled on 11 May by the Gompo LFA and Usuthu.

“For me AmaZulu laid a platform for the area and the kids, it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity for some other kids cause they’re not all used to such kind of events.

They were so happy and thrilled to play such a tournament and I hope they can see that, that’s a chance given to them, and they must grab it with both hands.

For them seeing their role models also helped them a lot in order to realize its possible but either then that the tournament was a success,” said Ntsundwana.
