Siyethemba Sithebe has extended his stay at AmaZulu.
The 26-year-old put pen to paper on a three-year contract extension which will see him stay at the club till 2022.
Sithebe joined Usuthu from Mbombela United in 2017 and his gritty performances in the heart of midfield has seen him rack up 52 appearances for the club already.
“Siyathemba has grown tremendously since joining the club. We are very happy to extended his contract with us, we believe there is plenty more to come from him,” AmaZulu General Manager Lunga Sokhela said.
The extension of the Newcastle born midfielder adds to the club’s preseason business.
Earlier this week, Usuthu confirmed a new loan deal with Thembela Sikhkhane while strikers Lehlohonolo Majoro and Andre de Jong have also been added to the squad. Meanwhile the club has opted to release right winger, Augustine Ramphele.
“We believe the club is moving in the right direction since returning the top flight. Under coach Cavin Johnson we have seen an upward curve in our performances. The upcoming season is another opportunity for us to keep building,” Sokhela said.
