Ahead of their trip to Namibia for the CAF African Youth Championships, South African U20 coach Thabo Senong has included AmaZulu’s Menzi Ndwandwe.
The Usuthu forward has been named in the 18-member side as they travel to Windhoek on Thursday afternoon in honour of the crucial encounter.
Amajita are scheduled to meet Namibia at Sam Nujoma Stadium and the winner of the tie is set to face off against Lesotho or Mozambique to determine who will play in the tournament in Zambia next year.
Speaking after announcing his squad, Senong said he believes he will get a good result in Namibia with the team he has selected.
“We have had a great camp since last Thursday with a pool of 35 players to pick from. We as the technical team have had a good look at all the players especially during the two practice matches we had,” said the coach.
“We released a few players over the weekend and we have had to unfortunately release more players this morning based on the performance they displayed in training.
“We have now chosen the final 18-man squad who will do duty at the weekend and we believe we will get a good result in Windhoek.”
