AmaZulu FC’s quest of climbing out of the relegation zone sees them travelling to the FNB Stadium on Saturday night to face take on Absa Premiership log leaders Kaizer Chiefs (20:15 Kickoff).
Despite Usuthu having only amassed 20 points after 23 matches, midfielder Butholezwe Ncube believes the KZN club is still on course to meet their objectives despite the weekend’s stern test away.
“I think we’ve been playing good football; we have just been unlucky in converting the opportunities we get into goals.”
“We all need to have that goal scoring mentality, form the defenders to the strikers as well, that way, we can gain positive momentum.”
The Soweto based outfit are upbeat following their victory against their arch-rivals whilst Usuthu will looking to keep their fight to stay in the league alive.
It has been more than a decade since Usuthu last beat the Soweto based outfit.
The Zimbabwean international is hopeful a positive outcome is highly possible if they hold fast to their belief.
“We need to keep working hard as a team and keep the fighting spirit alive, everything else will then fall into place, we have the responsibility of keeping the team in the Absa Premiership and we will do what is needed to survive.”Share
