With just six games left in the 2018/19 Absa Premiership campaign, AmaZulu are using the current FIFA Break to prepare for a positive finish to the season.
Usuthu are eleventh on the log and have the top-eight in sight, just five points away from the top half of the table.
This weekend the team heads for Swaziland for friendly games against Mbabane Swallows and Manzini Warriors.
“The Swaziland trip will be good for the team in terms of preparing for our next match against Chippa,” midfielder Jabulani Ncobeni said.
Ncobeni says the team will be taking both friendlies very seriously, placing special emphasis on scoring goals.
“We will utilize these matches to up our game again and rectify our mistakes and work on our finishing. ”
“The coach definitely has already planned ahead for the game against Chippa United by making sure that we deliver our best against the two teams we will be playing against. ”
Warriors and Swallows are household name in Swaziland and Ncobeni is expecting a tough challenge from both sides.
” The games will be very competitive, we are not going there with a lazy mentality, we want to play to win. ”
“We are using the FIFA break to fully prepare ourselves as we have a target as a team which is to get into the top eight, so we have to win as many games as possible,” Ncobeni concluded.Share
