Namibian international and AmaZulu defender Willem Mwedihanga says that he is always honoured whenever he is called up to represent his national team.
Mwedihanga was part of the Namibian squad that played against a Ghana local team during the FIFA international break and he said that helped him a lot.
“It was great to get a call up to represent my country because it shows that I am doing something good. I want to take everything that I gained and bring it back to the club.
“What is nice about such call ups is that it gives you game time and more exposure and match fitness, which is what I have been longing for,” he said.
As AmaZulu prepare to finish the league race on a high note, Mwedihanga said it will be unity and working hard for each other that will help them escape relegation.
“We need to work as a unit and also work hard for one another. If we play as individuals we will never get to achieve this goal of maintaining our status in the PSL,” he said.
Speaking about their match against Free State Stars on Saturday, the Namibian said they will be going all out for the full points.
“It is an important match for us, it will give us a margin and make a difference in us in terms of points and our morale as well.
“We will try and take it one step at a time like we have done in the previous matches,” he said.Share
