AmaZulu FC midfielder Siyethemba Mnguni is a player with a lot of potential and he can only get better.
Mnguni joined Usuthu from National First Division (NFD) side Mbombela United prior to the start of the current Premier Soccer League (PSL) campaign.
The 24-year-old attacking midfielder, who is in his first season in the top flight league, has caught the eye with his promising displays.
AmaZulu coach Cavin Johnson, feels that there’s still room for improvement in Mnguni’s game ahead of the PSL mid-season break.
Mnguni played 88 minutes as Usuthu suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Cape Town City in a league game which was played in the Mother City last week Friday.
“He has been doing well at training. It was his eighth game in the Absa Premiership,” Johnson said.
“He has done well so far, but I think he still needs to grow as a player.
Mnguni has made five starts and three substitute appearances in the league for Usuthu this season.
“Siyethemba has a lot of potential. But he needs to hold the ball better,” the AmaZulu gaffer continued.
“He also needs to read the game a little bit better. I think he will improve.”
Mnguni and his Usuthu team-mates will take on Chippa United in a league match at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Sunday, 7 January 2018.
Kick-off is at 15h30.Share
