Mbele: ‘Every match the same’

AmaZulu’s left-footed midfielder Bongani Mbele was instrumental in the KZN club’s second home victory on the weekend.

He tells AmaZulufc.net of his burning desire to take his good performance to their next coming match with neingbours Golden Arrows on Wednesday.

“I think there won’t be much change next week, because we’re treating every game the same and working as a team.

It was evident on Saturday evening at the Moses Mabhida Stadium that the man dubbed ‘Bhokoleshe’ was playing with renewed spirit having fallen from form.

“Mostly it was the focus that prevailed against Celtics but what happened was we had looked at their strong points and weak points.

We knew they had longer players, so the defence was able to contain them and we knew they were going to give us space so punished them, “said the Katlehong born wizard.

The former Thanda Royal Zulu and Moroka Swallows player is counting on another orchestrated plan against ‘Abafana Bes’thende’.

Defender Tamsanqa Teyise’s league debut last season was nothing ceremonial as the 24 year old had the daunting responsibility of marking Golden Arrows’ burly Zambian striker Collins Mbesuma.

“This time around at least I won’t be shaky if give and chance to play compared to last season.

On my side I think working hard and listening has helped me a lot since making the transition from centre-back to right-back,” said Teyise.

The 25 year old said the fighting attitude of Arrows will make them tough encounter side to beat but contends AmaZulu will also give it their all.
