Former Bafana Bafana defender Tsepo Masilela says he feels honoured to have signed with AmaZulu and looks forward to returning to the field this season.
Usuthu officially confirmed the signing of the veteran left-back after he put pen to paper earlier today.
Masilela’s contract will run until the end of the season, with an option to extend the deal beyond that.
The former Maccaba Haifa and Kaizer Chiefs legend says signing for the Durban based team was an easy decision to make and one that he is proud of committing to.
“It is a great feeling to be given another opportunity to prove my worth,” he said. “I have been here for a while now, getting to know everyone and seeing how things work.
“I have spoken to the coach and he has made it clear, what is expected of me.
“I know it won’t be easy to break into the first team but we have some good players and it shows on the pitch as we have been winning lately, so I look forward to pushing each other and hopefully we can have a successful season.”
The 34-year-old has been in training with the Usuthu first team squad since last month, before finally recieveing the green light from coach Jozef Vukusic in the last few days.Share
