AmaZulu’s tough-as-nails central midfielder, Khulegani ‘Chilies’ Madondo, has started light training this week following a two week stay in hospital from complaints of a headache.
Team Manager Qedi Dlamini has expressed delight in welcoming the 22-year-old back into the Usuthu kraal ahead of the remaining four league matches.
“He started training with the team on Monday, although he is still training alone but we’re trying to bring him up to speed and to the level of the rest of the players.
“Our physio, though, will tell us after he’s assessed him when he’ll be ready,” said Dlamini.
The club has distanced itself from a website report which alleged that Madondo had been dropped from the squad due to disciplinary reasons.
Meanwhile word on defenders Marc van Heerden and Carlington Nyadombo is that the experienced duo are well within their recovery from injury and will await the green light from the technical team to rejoin the side.
