Mabhuti Khenyeza resigns as AmaZulu Assistant Coach

The club has been sent a resignation letter by Mabhuti Khenyeza. He has requested to be relieved from his role at the club with immediate effect.

AmaZulu General Manager Lunga Sokhela had the following to say regarding the news: “The timing of Mabhuti’s resignation is quite unfortunate given the club’s situation in the league. We were due to meet in the morning with the rest of technical team but have instead received his resignation letter WhatsApp. The same WhatsApp was shared with the coaches and members of the media” said Sokhela.

Sokhela further expressed his disappointment in the lack of courtesy from Mr Khenyeza.

“At this moment that is all we’ve received from him. This could have really been handled a lot better but we will consult internally and our legal advisors before taking the matter forward, ” said Sokhela.

    Good Day Baba Sokhela

I hope you are spiritually not based which is applicable to me as well, this is basically referred to the teams ‘performance lately. I was looking at the log this afternoon and I happed to land my eyes at AmaZulu FC’s status in the log. This is not looking rose at all in our team. Unless there are urgent mechanisms to salvage this sinking ship. What is really happing sir.
Can you please advise the coach to restore the pride we have or we had about this team. Through my observation, our back-line is very weak. In a space of few minutes a number of goals are scored by our opponents. My suggestion is that can we reserve or replace Xoki by bringing back those Gumede boys, one of them is PhilaniGumede. We definitely leaking Goals as a result we are a potential candidates for relegation. Can we please change on the on-coming 8 games may be we can survive if can at least win three games and draw at least two. Please Baba do something.

This is sad news however the club is bigger than individual so let him go and he is not indispensable. This is the time that we should be coming together in ensuring that the club is being saved from relegation by all those who love and cares about the club but others are quitters when the ship is sinking. Who knows that this might be a road to saving the club. Good luck for him this shows that he was not with us and for us
