For others these may appear as early days, but for AmaZulu every point is important if the club wants to return where it belongs in the PSL.
South Africa Under-20 and Usuthu midfielder Tshepo Liphoko said they are treating each game like a cup final.
“It not too soon for us to start collecting points, in fact this is the right time for us to get our act together. I was a bit disappointed about our recent results but a point is better than nothing,” said Liphoko.
“When we enter the field we tell ourselves that we are playing a cup final and that is the approach we are using as we don’t want to be comfortable and undermine any team.”
With a neck injury sustained against Moroka Swallows, Liphoko said he is recovering well and working hard with the physiotherapist.
“I am slowly getting there as I am busy with the physiotherapist. I was disappointed with the injury, but I hope that I will recover fully soon and get back on the field of play again.
“The mood in the team is great and we are all trying to complement each other and help one another for the benefit of the team. The competition is healthy and it good to see more young players coming up. Our coach has been good in handling all of us and getting the best out of us,” he concluded.Share
