Striker Stanton Lewis who started training with the KZN club this week has secured his move to Durban after signing a contract for two seasons on Friday afternoon.
‘Stiga’ becomes head coach Manqoba Mngqithi’s second signing since the 2011/12 league season kicked off in efforts to add a different dimension to the squad.
“I think AmaZulu is a big club and I think they play attractive football.
If we start picking up the points I’m sure the supporters will start flocking in,” said the 24 year old.
The former Ajax Cape Town and Kaizer Chiefs man got stuck in this morning in a two legged friendly match against Golden Arrows at King Zwelithini Stadium.
Mngqithi told AmaZulufc.net that although ‘Stiga’ comes in at a time ‘Usuthu’ need to start pumping in more goals, he won’t rush the forward as he still needs to work on his physical element.
“I think he will obviously improve with time, he is not ready for now but he has got all the right qualities we need. He will help us a lot going forward,” the coach said.Share
