Key battles: Free State Stars vs AmaZulu

AmaZulu will look to return to winning ways in the Absa Premiership when they visit Free State Stars at Goble Park on Saturday, November 24, at 15:30.

Ea Lla Koto are always difficult to beat at home but here are a few individual battles that Usuthu will look to win in order to come away with maximum points.

Camaldine Abraw vs Tamsanqa Teyise

The big Togolese striker was a handful when the two sides met in a cup clash earlier due to his strength and ability to take players on. He will demand a lot of attention from Teyise and the rest of the defenders on Sunday.

Luyolo Nomandela vs Marc Van Heerden

Van Heerden has been effective for Usuthu effectively and has also provided a lot of options going forward due to his ability to deliver dangerous crosses into the box. However, he will look to keep a player like Nomandela in check before going on his trademark overlapping runs.

Paulus Masehe vs Goodman Dlamini

While the former is an old workhorse who is always looking to breakdown the opposition’s attacks, the latter is always in and around the penalty area trying to create and score goals and the two players are likely to cross paths on a number of occasions on Sunday. Goodman has been threatening to score his first goal of the season but he will have to outsmart the likes of Masehe to exploit the space in front of the defence.

  1. Andile Hlophe says:

Please coach start with Madondo and Issah or Madondo and Madubanya so that we can win the midfield battle, its time to get one over Stars, and please consider playing Marc as a winger because he is always a suspect when we concede goals.

  2. WHY IS THE COACH NOT PLAYING MY SON WHO I DIRECTED TO USUTU AS A ZULU MYSELF AND FAMILY? WE ARE VERY DISAPPOINTED BUT ARE ENCOURAGING HIM NOT TO LOSE HOPE.

  3. THE MANAGEMENT OF AMAZULU FC MUST LOOK AT THIS MATTER SERIOSLY.WHAY THE PLAYERS LEAVING THE CLUB? MADUBANYA AND OTHERS LEAVING.WAKE UP BEFORE HRE BIG DAMAGE IS DONE
