AmaZulu go in search of their first victory at home in 2019 when they host Cape Town City at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Saturday evening.
Cavin Johnson’s team drew with Highlands Park and then suffered a defeat to Kaizer Chiefs in their opening two games of the year.
While it has not gone according to plan in Umlazi in 2019 so far, they will be buoyed by their stunning two nil victory in Pretoria against Mamelodi Sundowns last week.
“I think we have been a bit unlucky at home this year,” Johnson said.
“I think in both the games we played good football, a little bit naivety at times, we have to come out now and fight again,” Johnson added.
Usuthu beat Benni McCarthy’s side at home in a Telkom Knock-Out clash earlier in the season but went on to lose in a league outing in Cape Town just a few days later.
“We have both had good rests. Both teams have trained hard. If you look at the sides, there are astute players, so I think we are in for a good game,” Johnson said.
Kick-off at the King Zweilithini Stadium is at 20:15. Tickets are available at TicketPro and Spar outlets.Share
