AmaZulu FC head coach Cavin Johnson was happy to see Emiliano Tade score his maiden goal for the club.
The Argentine marksman netted once as Usuthu overcame Free State Stars 2-1 in an Absa Premiership match at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Durban last weekend.
Johnson was impressed by Tade, who joined the club from New Zealand Football Championship giants Auckland City during the current transfer window.
“That’s the quality that we brought Emiliano to South Africa for‚” Johnson said.
“If he does this all the times we know that he has the calm and the technique.
Tade made his official debut for Usuthu during the 1-0 victory over Baroka FC in an Absa Premiership match in Durban over three weeks ago.
Before missing AmaZulu’s 1-0 defeat to SuperSport United at the Lucas Moripe Stadium two weeks ago due to a stomach bug.
“He doesn’t pack a powerful shot like 150miles an hour. He doesn’t have that,” Johnson continued.
“But in football you don’t (always) need that. If you have the calm‚ technique‚ you’ll put in goals like that.”
Tade, 30, will be hoping to score again when AmaZulu take on Bidvest Wits in an Absa Premiership match at the Bidvest Stadium on Wednesday, August 29.
Kick-off is at 19h30.Share
