AmaZulu head to East London for their final game of the 2018/19 season, targeting a strong finish to the campaign.
Usuthu will face Bloemfontein Cetic at the Sisa Dukashe Stadium as the ABSA Premiership season’s draws to a close.
With survival secured after a one all draw with Black Leopards last week, the team can breathe easily against Celtic.
Despite not much riding on the fixture for both sides, Johnson still expects an exciting encounter.
“We told ourselves that the last six games would be cup finals. Bloem Celtic will be no different. We are going there for all three points. We want to finish the season well,” Johnson said.
In recent weeks, Johnson presented opportunities to youngsters like Sphe Maduna and Somila Ntsudwana.
He says he will look to give a few more reserves a chance to play this weekend.
“We want them to stamp their authority, it is game we are taking very seriously,” Johnson said.
It is also the final game of Siyabonga Nomvethe’s career, with the 41-year-old retiring at the end of the season.
“Bhele has been a great servant and he will definitely feature in his last game,” Johnson said.
“We are looking forward to playing in East London, we know that the fans in that region don’t get live top flight football, so we hope they come out and enjoy the game,” he concluded.Share
