AmaZulu FC head coach Cavin Johnson has reflected on Usuthu’s disappointing defeat to Baroka FC.
Bakgaga secured a 2-0 win over Usuthu in an Absa Premiership match at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The loss extended AmaZulu’s winless run to seven matches in the league having recorded four draws and three defeats.
“It was not a good game. I do not think AmaZulu came to the party today. We did not play the way we were suppose to play,” Johnson said.
“My players made some bad technical errors. In the first-half they were a couple of moments when we were chasing the game and we managed to keep possession, and we looked little bit better.
The hosts grabbed an early goal through Mduduzi Mdantsane in the first-half and Gift Motupa sealed Bakgaga’s 2-0 victory in the second-half.
“I thought we would come back in the second-half being a lot more composed on the ball, and showing more effort, and push for the equalizing goal,” the 59-year-old added.
“I think the second-half was very poor for my team. We will go back and try to fix it. We need to get a win under our belt in order to get our confidence back.”
Usuthu will take on SuperSport United in a league game at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Saturday.
Kick-off is at 20h15.Share
