AmaZulu coach Cavin Johnson has welcomed being thrown a chance to take on Cape Town City twice in a space of one week as Usuthu pulled Benni McCarthy’s men in the Telkom Knockout draw on 08 October in Randburg.

Although dates and times will soon be confirmed by PSL for all fixtures, the 59 year tactician believes it may be a case of a home and away encounter in a cup final.

“Its like I always say, we always take it one game at a time and every game is like a cup final for us. We will play Cape Town City in the league on 27 October and again in the Telkom Knockout”

“For me it’s a different ball game when you play in Cape Town, it will be a different ball game when they come to Durban”

“These are completely different competitions altogether, we need more points now then ever and we want to do well in the cup,” said Johnson.
