Glenwood High School visit AmaZulu first team training

The Usuthu first team squad congratulated the AmaZulu Glenwood High School Academy players on Tuesday morning’s training session ahead of their Kay Motsepe Schools Cup National Finals on 3 October.

Coach Thabiso Makhetha’s side will represent KZN at the national play offs along with Sekusile High School whom they beat 1-0 on 03 September at George Campbell Grounds.

AmaZulu General Manager, Lunga Sokhela told the players and coaching staff how their feat marks a good achievement in the AmaZulu Glenwood Academy partnership.

“It’s only right that we congratulate the boys, the coaches and the parents for the hard work they have been putting in behind the scenes.

“Next month in Joburg against other provincial champions they will need to be strong and at their best to represent Glenwood High School, AmaZulu FC and the whole of KZN,” said Sokhela.

Head Coach, Joey Antipas and club captain, Tapelo Nyongo echoed in the General Manager’s words of motivation.

Their KZN triumph saw them receive R100 000 prize money and a trophy.

Currently three players from the academy are part of the ABC Motsepe feeder team set up including Sbusiso Magaqa from the AmaZulu senior side.
