‘Drogba’ and ‘Deco’ lead scoring charts

AmaZulu will look to improve their conversion rate during the second half of the season after scoring 17 goals in 15 matches during the first half.

Usuthu have failed to find the back of the net on just two occasions, during 2-0 defeats against Maritzburg United and University of Pretoria.

Their biggest home win was the 2-0 victory over Platinum Stars, while the biggest win on the road was the 3-0 triumph over neighbours Lamontville Golden Arrows.

Striker Bongani Ndulula and attacking midfielder Goodman Dlamini top the goal scoring charts with three goals each, while Ayanda Dlamini, Nkosinathi Mthiyane and Tamsanqa Teyise have scored two goals each.

AmaZulu scorers:

Bongani Ndulula, Goodman Dlamini – 3

Ayanda Dlamini, Nkosinathi Mthiyane, Thamsanqa Teyise – 2

Sithembiso Ngcobo, Carlington Nyadombo, Bonginkosi Macala -1

Own-goals – 2

Last season Ndulula and Ayanda Dlamini finished as the club’s top scorers with four Absa Premiership goals each and both players are on course to better their record this season.
