Chawapihwa believes Usuthu have the talent to oust Chippa away

AmaZulu FC will be out to avenge their first round 2-0 home defeat to Chippa United when the coastline sides meet on Saturday (18:00) at the Nelson Mandela Bay stadium in Port Elizabeth.

This is according to Usuthu and Zimbabwean international winger, Talent Chawapihwa who recently opened his goal tally for the season, away to Bloemfontein Celtic in the Nedbank Cup Last 32.

Despite also having last suffered a loss in the Durban Derby against Golden Arrows, the 26 year old man says they’ve been in high spirits leading up to the week.

‘’The morale is high in training, the guys are focused, we are ready to go and fight for the maximum points.’’

‘’We all know the position we are in right now, we have to give it our all and make sure that we stay another season and compete in the Absa premiership.’’

Chippa United are coming off the back of a 3-0 league defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns as well a Nedbank Cup defeat this week at the hands of Bidvest Wits.

AmaZulu got the better of the Nelson Mandela Bay outfit last season through Chawapihwa’s compatriot, Buthelezwe Ncube’s deflected first half strike.

Chawapihwa noted the influence compatriot and Chippa United Coach, Norman Mapeza may have on the match in the way the former FC Platinum has them set up but notes Usuthu can come up on top.

“Chippa United are a ball playing team, but not as convincing when it comes to defending, if we can capitalize on that, we stand a chance of collecting all three points.’’

‘’The support we have been receiving from the people who follow, and support the club has been great, it is very encouraging.”

“We promise to do our best to make them proud and we would like to urge them to continue supporting us,” he concluded.
