Bezuidenhout is Usuthu’s new Head of Development

AmaZulu have appointed Durban-born Stephen Bezuidenhout to replace the vacant Head of Development at the club with immediate effect.

“I’m looking forward to the challenge and I know we should be one of the top five teams in the country in terms of football development and that’s the goal,” said Bezuidenhout.

The 33 year old coach once turned out for African Wanderers briefly before going into youth football mentorship on a fulltime basis, which led him into founding the Westville Academy.

AmaZulu General Manager Peter O’Connor told the club website that the experienced youth coach has been tasked with reviving the KZN side’s promising talent hub.

“We’re glad because he certainly has the passion for football and football development. He has previously worked as soccer manager at the Sharks Academy.

“Steve’s role with us will be on a fulltime basis,” said O’Connor.
