Barker: We have started with preparations

Proper planning prevents poor results and for that reason AmaZulu have started with their preparations for the National First Division journey.

Coach Steve Barker said as much as they have not started with the training, but they are busy with the paper work ensuring that they get the right players who will get the team back to the PSL.

“We have started our preparations although it not physical training, but we have been trying to ensure that all the paper work is in place and we get all the right players we need to get us back to the PSL with a straight promotion,” said Barker.

Speaking about some of the players that will be staying or leaving the club, Barker said players have contracts with the club and so they will not just leave.

“Look, the players have contracts with the club and so they will not just leave. We are still looking at negotiating with some of them but things are looking good,” he said.

With the NFD Under 23 age rule Barker said their Durban Warriors players will stand a good chance to join the first team.

“We did not have many under 23 players and so this will give the Durban Warriors players a chance to prove themselves. We are looking at signing one or two players from there and also look at other experienced players we can get,” he said.

Indeed Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Peformance (The 5 P’s).. Am talking on behalf of all Usuthu faithful when I say we have faith in coach Steve Barker and the football club at large, we will be back next season.. Has it been decided where we’ll be playing our home games next season as yet? I’m rooting for NUZ’s King Zwelithini Studium
