AmaZulu defender Mbulelo Mabizela has won some praise from his coach Steve Barker for his outstanding performances since joining the club this year.
Mabizela has scored three goals despite the fact that he is playing at the back, but he has attacked when the opportunity has arisen and that has paid off for him.
In their last match against Chippa United, where Usuthu played to a 1-1 draw, it was Mabizela’s goal that had given the KwaZulu-Natal club the lead.
Barker said he is impressed with the way Mabizela has carried himself and the value that he has added to the club.
“I am very impressed with the way Mabizela is contributing to the club. He has already scored three crucial goals and has been involved in some assist as well. The way he carries himself during training is amazing because he just inspires the other guys to work hard as well,” said Barker.
The talented footballer has been known for some controversial moments in his career, but Barker said he is happy with the commitment he has shown.
“His character and commitment to the club is amazing and it is good to know that he has so much interest for the club and the positive contribution he adds is just amazing.
“For now I am just happy with the commitment he has shown and I know that he is still going to play a positive role in the squad,” said Barker.
As AmaZulu are now on a break, the coach said they need to look at this in a positive manner and use the break to their advantage.
“We just have to look at it in a positive way. We have the opportunity to train and work hard on finishing strong. The performance of my team has been good we have fought well and shown good character even in difficult times,” he concluded.Share
