AmaZulu coach Steve Barker believes the red card suspension of striker Bongi Ntuli is not a big worry and calls upon Bongani Ndulula and Ayanda Dlamini to step up to the plate.
Barker said he is disappointed because the in-form striker was starting to find his feet, but there is nothing that can be done except put trust in other quality players.
“It is a bit of a setback for us because the player was scoring and showing some confidence in front of goals again. However we have other quality players in Bongani Ndulula and Ayanda Dlamini.
“I think these players are ready to step and use the opportunity to the best of their abilities. They have done well for the club before and I am sure they will do a wonderful job,” Barker said.
Barker went on to give praise to Thabiso Dlamini who recently signed from the Durban Warriors club for his commitment whenever he has been given a chance to play.
“I am impressed with the way Thabiso has used his opportunities and he has been solid at the back whenever he played. It’s good to see him doing well and the same goes for Tapelo Nyongo as well,” he said.
The coach also confirmed that there are no new injuries at the club and the preparations are going well.Share
