Back to training for Usuthu

AmaZulu head coach Roger Palmgren has sent his side straight to training to work on the mistakes that saw them being humbled 2-0 by KZN rivals Maritzburg United on Tuesday night.

In his post-match remarks the coach bemoaned having some of his key players unavailable in the encounter against United.

“It’s a given that we need to work much harder in our game, particularly in defence we have to go back and rectify things.

“I think offensively we made it too easy for Maritzburg to defend our balls away from their area. We’re just not the strong team we were last year because for now we’re missing lot of our key players from injury and registration delays,” said Palmgren.

The Swedish coach is hopeful that he will have all of his tools available to him for the next Durban derby against Golden Arrows, which will be played at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on 1 September 2012.
