AmaZulu FC Reserve Head Coach, Ayanda Dlamini has expressed delight in acquiring his first victory as MDC Coach for Usuthu at the expense of Cape Town City Reserves on 10 December 2017 at King Zwelithini Stadium.
The 33-year-old former Nongoma Citizen forward said of his debut dugout dual: “’Cape Town City gave us a challenge especially in the second half, but we overcame them eventually and got the result we needed.”
“The boys played according to the way we’d planned for them and I’m happy because they got their chance to play their best.”
“The first team players also did well, they helped the younger ones. I’m happy because the game went well for us,” said the former Usuthu forward.
Usuthu took the lead courtesy of Menzi Ndandwe’s first half strike from close range in the first half which was cancelled out by the visitors in the 69th minute.
Late substitute Phiwayinkosi Gumede pounced on to restore the lead and ultimately bag all three points for the boys in green and white.
