Ayanda Dlamini, the man from KwaCeza, has recently been named the AmaZulu Player of the Month for February for his spirited performances in the green and white colours.
‘Cobra’ received the rotating award after the technical team nominated him for his important role, coupled with goals at crucial stages last month that saw Usuthu make their case known.
“It’s a great confidence booster for me as a striker and team player. In all fairness though everybody’s contribution to the team is important,” said Dlamini.
The 28 year old received a R2000 cheque and a weekend’s stay for two at the Suncoast Hotel Towers.
Dlamini has scooped the award for the second month running after he was named Player of the Month for December as well.
Now he has his sights on helping Usuthu surge up the league table as they prepare for a tough encounter next Friday against Ajax Cape Town.
“Everyone is aware of how important the next three games are, not even just the one against Ajax.
“Although we’ve waited a bit too long to resume with the games, there won’t be much change in our game because we know what’s at stake,” concluded Dlamini.
