'Usuthu' undertook the exercise prior to the match against Santos in the 'Mother City' tonight.
AmaZulu PR and Media Manager Philani Mabaso said the midweek visit went smoother than expected.
“The visit was just one of our normal visits which we always try to ensure we avail the players and technical staff to interact with our sponsors and the public.
"It is a good vibe to create especially as we are playing tonight in Cape Town. The support for the game was well galvanised."
Brian Dube, who was one of the initiators of the visit, spoke highly of the KZN club’s deed in reaching out to the staff members of the DC.
“It is something really great, we had expected the guys would be happy to see the players. It is a pity they couldn’t stay that long as they had to prepare for training. Probably next time when they come to play in Cape Town they will stay for longer, ” said Dube.
He also revealed that they also almost had a ‘mini stampede’ when the staff members lined up to buy the new AmaZulu replica shirts after they had ran out.
“They were sold out in just under ten minutes unfortunately because we had ordered only 100 shirts. With a maximum of about 400-500 staff members we are forced to place another order. People are very excited and have bought tickets to see the match tonight,” he added.
AmaZulu Captain, Pere Ariweriyai told amazulufc.net the visit meant a lot to the players and they will go into the match well tuned after being well received in Cape Town.
