‘Usuthu’ to sharpen their spears

February 8, 2010

Coach Neil Tovey remains confident for a good result in the next few games despite ‘Usuthu’ failing once again at home, this time at a sun lit Moses Mabhida Stadium yesterday.

“We started very well when we created a few good chances. But I would have loved for Ayanda (Dlamini) to have taken one of the chances.
“A good indication of the game was the awarding of their keeper the Man of the Match Award. He made a few saves,” Tovey said.

Mpumalanga Black Aces were the happier team with the result as they managed to at least force a point from a side that looked ready to trounce anyone that came their way after beating Golden Arrows last Tuesday.

Next in line is a frustrated Orlando Pirates, surely a frustrated side who haven’t managed to get any goals in all four of their previous draws.

AmaZulu Team Manager James Dlamini says the prep talk being done by the technical team to the strikers will be to find the solution to the lack of decisive finishing in front of goal as AmaZulu prepare for the Pirates away assignment on Wednesday.

“The guys are obviously down for not being able to win at home. But there is no time for moping and dwelling on disappointments, we have to turn our focus to Pirates.

“The coaches have talked to the strikers to improve on some aspects in their game. Brad Ritson missed two clear cut chances in the first half and Ayanda Dlamini should have put one away in the second half ,but they will be better on Wednesday,” said the Team Manager.
