Usuthu Reserves have their sights on adding another three points on the trot in the Multichoice Diski Challenge in KwaMashu at the expense of Stellenbosch FC on 13 October at Princess Magogo Stadium. Kickoff, 10:00.
Head coach Ayanda Dlamini (34) commended his charges for an outstanding performance last Sunday when they defeated Cape Town City 3-0 at the Princess Magogo stadium last Sunday.
The former Usuthu forward concedes that even though his youngsters have had a rather rocky start to the season, he believes that the momentum in the team is rapidly picking up.
“The win against Cape Town City was a very important one for us, especially after we lost to Supersport United the week before in a game we should’ve won, but we have come back stronger.”
“We haven’t really had a good start to the season especially losing four games in a row, but we have since improved, we are a team that scores a lot of goals, I believe that this is only the beginning of a positive momentum,” he added.
Dlamini also conveyed his desire for his side’s improvement in critical periods of the game if they are to add to their 10 points tally so far this season.
“We are improving our defence, but we still have a lot of work to do, as well in our attack, we need to be more precise in critical areas.”
“Stellenbosch FC are a relatively new side, so we will have to be at our best to be able to get all three points on Sunday,” he concluded.
