AmaZulu will face Mpumalanga Black Aces in the first ever Charity Showdown this Saturday and the match will be live on television.
The Charity Showdown, which is powered by e.tv in association with OpenView HD, is being held on Saturday, 19 July.
Football fans can either watch the matches on e.tv free to air channel or on OpenView HD, a free digital satellite platform, powered bye.tv which has 18 new TV channels in digital quality. The decoder is available from all leading retailers from as little as R849.00 (excludes dish/installation).
The four-team mini event is being hosted at the Bidvest Stadium in Braamfontein and the clubs will use the opportunity as part of their pre-season plans.
All the games will be broadcast live on e.tv at these times:
Match 1 – 9h30am-11h30am
Bloemfontein Celtic vs Bidvest Wits
Match 2 – 12pm – 2pm
Mpumalanga Black Aces vs AmaZulu
Match 3 (Final) – 4pm – 6pm

The Charity Showdown is a knockout tournament and matches will be 45 minutes per half. At the end of full time, if the scores are still tied, the matches will be decided through penalty shootouts.
The one-day family fun day soccer event aims to raise funds for the Lunchbox Fund. All proceeds will be donated to The Lunchbox Fund, a charity that provides a daily meal to orphaned and impoverished schoolchildren across the education sector.
The Fund feeds over 5 000 children in Gauteng, Limpopo, North West Province, Western Cape, Eastern Cape and are expanding all the time.
