AmaZulu will get their 2014/15 Absa Premiership season when they host Ajax Cape Town at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Sunday, 10 August 2014 at 3pm.
Usuthu finished in ninth place on the table last season having spent most of the campaign in the top half of the log.
Craig Rosslee’s side registered 11 wins, nine draws and 10 losses for a haul of 42 points and will look for a good start in order to improve on what they achieved last season.
Their next three league opponents are Moroka Swallows, Orlando Pirates (both away) and Bloemfontein Celtic (home).
Ajax will also be looking to start the new season on a high note after finishing in12th place on the log last season with nine wins, eight draws and 13 losses for a haul of 35 points.
Following their trip to Durban, the Urban Warriors will face Mamelodi Sundowns (home), Polokwane City (away) and Bidvest Wits (home).
In head-to-head stats, AmaZulu and Ajax have met in 22 league matches since 1999/2000.
The Urban Warriors have 11 wins compared to seven for Usuthu, while just four matches have been drawn.
Both teams have managed five wins from the 11 matches in which AmaZulu have played host.
Last season Usuthu completed a league ‘double’ over the Urban Warriors, winning 2-1 in Cape Town and 1-0 in Durban.Share
