AmaZulu players called up for Namibia

Usuthu defenders Willem Mwedihanga and Larry Horaeb as well as unregistered midfielder Petrus Shitembi have been called up to Namibia’s squad to face Tanzania on 5 March in an international friendly in Windhoek.

Horaeb has welcomed the prospect of getting back into action having last played for the Brave Warriors on 8 September 2013 in a World Cup Qualifier against Kenya.

“I’m working my way up slowly, but I’m very excited to play a competitive match again,” said Horaeb of his ankle injury that has finally healed.

On the domestic front the overlapping right-back last donned Usuthu’s green and white colours in the 7-1 loss of Mamelodi Sundowns suffered on 22 October last year.

The trio will report immediately back to AmaZulu’s camp after their match in Windhoek to prepare for Usuthu’s Absa Premiership match against Mamelodi Sundowns on 7 March.
