AmaZulu u-17, striker Lindani Bhengu was on rampant mode on Sunday at Moses Mabhida Outer Fields as he scored six goals in their 7-1 win against Wentworth’s Bayview to start their DCFA league.
The goal exhibition was not the highlight of the match however according to head coach Lindokuhle Mkhize who preaches team work instead of individualism.
“We played well and scored goals but what is more important is that everybody plays their part in every move the team makes, defensively and when we’re attacking,” said Mkhize.
Usuthu led 1-0 at half time and scored two more goals in the second half. Bayview got their consolidation late in the match but lost all hope for a possible come back when William Chess pounced on another chance to make it 4-1, fuelling Bhengu to put the nail in the coffin and score three more.
In another match AmaZulu u15’s also beat Bayview’s juniors by an astounding 4-0 goal margin. The only losing team on the day was Sazi Ngubane’s u13’s who lost 4-3 to Riverside FC.Share
