Last Sunday’s fixture saw two defenders, Stevy Nzambe and Sbongiseni Mthembu being taken after sustaining serious injuries while captain Tapelo Nyongo suffered a broken nose a day before the match.
AmaZulu Physio, Karel Du Toit it’s not all doom and gloom and has welcomed this week’s international break in order to remedy the situation.
“Tapelo Nyongo broke his nose with a head to head collision a day before the match against Kings. We hope to have him ready for the match with adequate protective gear,” said Du Toit.
For Nyongo’s two teammates however according to Du Toit it may take sometime before they can be seen in green and white colours.
“Fani Fani (Sbongiseni Mthembu) sustained a tibial shaft fracture, had an operation Tuesday morning. We hope that he’ll have a speedy recovery,”
“Stevy Nzambe sustained a fractured skull. He’s currently in ICU for further observation and monitoring,” He said.Share
