AmaZulu were empathic in front of goal in a National First Division match at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Durban on Wednesday after crushing Jomo Cosmos 5-1.
The victory takes Usuthu to third place on the league table with 47 points from 29 matches, three points behind Black Leopards who have 50 points.
AmaZulu took the lead early in courtesy of a penalty from Siyabonga Nomvethe before Cosmos found the equaliser also from the penalty spot courtesy of Frederick Nsabiyumva.
Augustine Ramphele found the back of the net towards the end of the Stanza as AmaZulu took a 2-1 lead into the break.
Usuthu found their third goal ten minutes into the second half when Lungelo Dlamini curled the ball home from just outside the box, 3-1.
Augustine Ramphele found his second goal soon after to give Usuthu an unassailable lead, 4-1.
The icing on the cake was Siyabonga Nomvethe second goal and his side’s fifth of the day in the 71st minute to make it 5-1 to AmaZulu.
The home side took the foot off the pedal thereafter to cruise to a comfortable win.
AmaZulu are next in action this coming Sunday in their last NFD match of the season against FC Cape Town.Share
