AmaZulu add depth in goals

AmaZulu have concluded a deal with 24 year old goalkeeper Mandla Sangweni who joins AmaZulu on a one-year deal from Mhlathuze Rangers.

AmaZulu General Manager Peter O’Connor confirmed that the third born of the football playing Sangweni brothers will add depth in Usuthu’s goalkeeping department with Zimbabwean captain Tapuwa Kapini out injured, while Mbongeni Mzimela and Philani Zikalala contest for the number one jersey.

“I’m very happy and thankful for the team for treating me like family since I came here. The goalkeeper trainer, Graham Johnson, too has been helpful from day one as well as Kati, Philo, and Kapini,” Sangweni says.

“I started goalkeeping when I was a bit older but I’ve always wanted to play competitively and with the skills and tactics I pick up I’m sure I’ll come alright,” said Sangweni.
