All systems go for 2017 Engen KOC Durban leg

The media draw for the 2017 Engen Knockout Challenge was successfully held on 04 July at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in preparation for the youth football showdown on 14 – 16 July 4, 2017.

Continuing on last year’s hash tag, #yourjourneystartshere which throws the spotlight to the players, team captains from all 16 participating teams were invited to experience the media draw.

Engen CSI Manager, Pumeza Ntisana expressed her delight on the continuation of providing a platform for South Africa’s youngsters.

“Engen is proud to be a part of the development of these young football stars, further contributing to the realisation of their dream of being signed professionally,” says Ntisana.

Technical sponsor Umbro South Africa will provide one year endorsement deals which will include both apparel and footwear to the player of the tournament, top goal scorer and best goalkeeper.

Tournament Director and AmaZulu Community Trust Programs Manager, Mpho Dintwa urged all 16 clubs to ensure they put their best foot forward in the Durban spectacle at Moses Mabhida Outer Fields.

SAFA eThekwini President Mazwi Mkhize confirmed the football custodian endorsement of the tournament.

Engen KOC Ambassador and former Bafana Bafana international Jabu Mahlangu will be on hand on 14 July to offer life skills advice to the players.
