The giant awakens

Is it the coach or is it the players? Different views may be scripted as to the reason AmaZulu are showing character and bagging points match after match.

AmaZulu have collected 7 points out of a possible 12 in their last 5 showings. They lost to Orlando Pirates and drew with Bloemfontein Celtics. As for the remainder of matches against Golden Arrows and Black Leopards they have collected full 3 points from each team.

It is a very impressive run from a team that is expected to be in the middle of the table. They are proving critics wrong as they are positioned 7th currently with a match in hand compared to most teams in the league. The fans are ecstatic and are being quoted as saying the “sleeping giant” (AmaZulu) has awakened.

The KZN region is buzzing with life as it is all smiles from supporters wearing the green and white colours. Roger Palmgren has countlessly mentioned the goal of a top 8 finish for Usuthu but the players seem to have other ideas as they make the Swede proud by exceeding that goal so far.

Usuthu have a few remaining games against Jomo Cosmos, Platinum Stars, Maritzburg United, Santos and Kaizer Chiefs. These are the games that will decide the fate of the boys in green and white, not forgetting their absolutely great run in the Nedbank Cup where they will meet Supersport United for a battle for the final spot in the competition.

It is quite a run by Usuthu and with their current form they surely look like the giant they are turning to be once again. The pastures are green and so are the fans and players of mighty Usuthu.

Very true the giant has awakened!!!! Bring back those glory days. Very possible, next season I'm humbly requesting HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS, Roger Palgrem to busy wisely, depending on the needs of the team. With few addition of resources I've got a reason to believe that soccer empire in the RSA can be ruled by the boys in green and white. Phezu kwabo!!!!

the boys will definitely take one of the trophies this season as they have work acceptionally well in evry game.with peserverence and determination in the last 5 matches, all would have been for a good course.

the players, the coach will make us pruod and continue to do so as long as we the supporters support them.

Yep credit to the coach. Glory days are here again. I see us win a cup this season and we may end up missing the league by 3 point or so if you look at how hard Downs game are and the inconsistant of Bucs.

Usuthu 4eva!!!!!!!

Hehehe!!! I wonder whether your instinct are spot on. Your view or input is respected BUt, is it not better to leave the coaches job to the coaches??? I'm not downplaying you Philile, I'm just thinking. Guys let's do something about the NEDBANK game. Let's invade Limpopo in very great numbers. Organize supporters down there in Durban please. Hebe!!!!!!!!!!!Usuthu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hebe USuthu is bringing glory days back. Butthe team must consider going back to their grass roots at P Magog stadium in order not to loose their support base even so called big teams they still have their support base and if they can improve thier strategy to mobilise the whole province to support abafana bas Mbelebeleni. Good luck we love this team.

On the subject, i thk its the combination of both playrs and the coach. playrs seems to hv th required hunger for success, play for each other, self belief and trust of the coach, whilst the coach also show confidence in his plys. Noticeably, is also the coaches' trust on his plyrs,, evident from rotation of players, reading of the game and timing of substitution. Furthermore, i think the fitness trainer is doing well, evident from attacks througout the game and late goals from the team..yes i think it is the overall organisation from plyrs, attitude and coaching staff
