Young Thwala elevated to First Team

Promising young striker, Siyabonga Thwala has become AmaZulu coach Roger Palmgren’s first acquisition in the transfer window period after signing a three and half year deal from feeder team Durban Warriors on Friday afternoon.

The 17 year old who has just finished his matric scored seven goals in the Vodacom League last season.

Speaking to AmaZulufc.net after completing his graduation he said: “I’m happy! This shows me that I was doing something right since I joined Warriors in 2008.

"I’m grateful for the opportunity, and since the first day I started training with the first team coaches and players were welcoming.

I’m sure everything will work out well for me, I’ll learn a lot and offer a lot,” said the man nicknamed Chilla.

Thwala started his amateur football with Double Classic Academy of KwaMashu where a long list of professional players hails.
