Tables Turned as AmaZulu Players get dazzled by Fans

Durban townships, KwaMashu and Umlazi were entertained with fine music and goodies this week when the Usuthu promotions hit the streets.

The football loving revellers will get a taste of real action next week when AmaZulu take on Kaizer Chiefs at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

For 40 year old Mdladla Mthembu to show off his rare moves for a shopping voucher and ticket to watch the KZN side on Tuesday was a small sacrifice.

“Just the fact that the club continues to come to see the fans is great. For me it will be a first time going to watch a football match.
I was also just excited by the mere fact that I got to see the players and a young white player greeting the crowd in Zulu, which also shows how appreciating he also is for us,” he said.

Trio Kagiso Senamela, Siyabonga Vilane and Donovan Thompson were the ones cheering on talented dancers at Bridge City and at the KwaMashu Mall on Wednesday as they competed for ABI and Spar sponsored vouchers among other goodies.

Umlazi local born Ntuthuko Dlamini assumed the role of host as he introduced fellow teammates Gavin Hammers, Nkanyiso Cele, Philani Kunene and Bonginkosi Nxumalo on Thursday to the community to end the road show at Umlazi’s Mega City Mall.

The real action and Christmas treat for Durban will be at the iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium on Tuesday, 20th December when AmaZulu host Vladimir Vermezovic coached Chiefs.
