AmaZulu striker Linda Bhengu has managed to shake off the knee injury that has stunted his progress in the 2015/16 season as he now looks to get back to full fitness.
“Bhengu is back at training, and building his fitness. He will progress to full training in about a week’s time, but he will probably be up for selection in another week or two from now,” said AmaZulu physio Karel Du Toit.
The 19-year-old Usuthu youth graduate has two goals to his name this season, and remains hopeful of adding more to his tally soon under head coach Steve Barker.
According to Du Toit, defender Thabo Moloi’s hip injury will need re-evaluation after two weeks, as he is still using crutches.
The hard running right-back sustained a knee injury last month in AmaZulu’s hard-fought 2-1 away win against Moroka Swallows at Dobsonville.Share
